8Bitdo debuts Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller for Android
8Bitdo is going after the likes of Backbone One and Razer Kishi Ultra controller for Android with its new Ultimate Mobile Gaming gamepad. This particular model is compatible with almost all Android smartphones ranging from 110 to 170mm in length. Its design incorporates a telescopic stretching mechanism for easy clipping and it even has paddings to protect the surface of your phone when it’s attached to it. The highlight here is the inclusion of Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, which are increasingly popular these days. The joysticks on this model also have a metal ring for a premium fit and finish.
The new 8Bitdo gamepad comes with refined bumpers and D-pad with “light and tactile” feedback, and you also get two back paddle buttons for added control. As is the case with other 8Bitdo offerings, the new Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller supports the brand’s Ultimate software for customization, and some other highlights here include a profile button, a bundled USB cable, and more.
The new Ultimate Mobile Gaming Controller is now up for pre-order on Amazon, and it’ll ship starting November 29. You can get it in black and white color options for $49.99 shipped. It’s compatible with devices running Android 9.0 and above, and connects via Bluetooth to a variety of phones. This one undercuts some other options out there by as much as $100, including the Backbone One, Kishi Ultra, and more, which typically go for a lot more than this.
