If you happen to want Apple’s new USB-C AirPods Max in orange, they just hit the $487 all-time low

Reg. $549 $487

Amazon is now offering the lowest price we have tracked to date on Apple’s new USB-C AirPods Max as the orange set has now dropped to $487 shipped. While the other colors aren’t seeing deals quite this deep, the regularly $549 orange pair is now undercutting the $49 price drops we tracked for Prime Day to deliver a new Amazon all-time low on Apple’s updated over-ear headphones.

Now clearly this is an entirely niche deal – you’re going to have to want the orange set and be willing to pay a premium for the USB-C charging action on an already pricey set of cans. But it is, nonetheless, the lowest price ever for a pair of USB-C AirPods Max yet, and we thought we would highlight the deal just in case there was anyone out there looking to score a set.

I, for one, would rather just grab the less pricey AirPods Max with the Lightning connection as they are, after all, identical outside of the port and the paint jobs, But again, a deal is a deal, and this is one.

Another option here would just be to side step the Apple cans altogether and go for something like the beloved Sony XM5 set that happens to be seeing a $100 price drop today at both Best Buy and Amazon. These internet darlings are in fact about as good as a quick Google search or two on them would suggest in my experience, and you can land a set for today only at $187 less than the AirPods Max.
