Check out the new LEGO sets and GWP promotions for November

November is upon us, which means another month of new LEGO building sets that will be hitting the market. Unlike the massive amounts of kits we’ve seen drop in past months, November is going for the opposite approach, releasing two official and massive sets for purchase alongside a few special GWP builds too. Today, we have our monthly rundown for you, giving you a brush-up on what to expect before the clock finally ticks over and you can decide which of these sets will be joining your collection. We saw a bunch of great collaboration sets last month, like the 8-bit 71438 Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi, the massive display-worthy UCS 75397 Star Wars Jabba’s Sail Barge, or even the four exclusive LEGO Fortnite sets, among the many others. November is doing things a bit differently, however, instead of dropping two sets that promise to be big-hitters. What’s more, we’re getting some solid GWP promotions for a short period that complements them, available with particular purchases from November 1 to 7, 2024. The sets themselves will be available starting November 1, 2024 for LEGO Insiders, while general release is poised for November 4.

And be sure to keep your eyes peeled as we go deeper into the month, as there should be some more promotions popping up at its end for Black Friday. LEGO Insiders should be getting early access then, with an unknown GWP set, some sales promotions, including extra points with certain purchases, and so on. We’ll update you with more information as it becomes available to us.

November GWP promotions

We know of three GWP promotions so far, with the 40698 Books Are My Passion already live through November 11 and coming along with any purchase of $130 or more while supplies last, excluding pre-orders. Until November 7, you’ll be able to score 5009005 Entrance Gate alongside the 21353 The Botanical Garden set, while the 6546714 Cerebro will accompany 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion.

21353 The Botanical Garden (3,792 pieces)

The first of the two big releases is the next addition to my favorite theme – Ideas – and the 21353 The Botanical Garden set is a beautifully expansive build, carrying a price tag of $329.99 shipped. It has been designed via the inspiration of Victorian-style botanical gardens, coming in at 8.6 inches tall, 9.8 inches deep, and 20 inches wide – and it’s not hard to see why. It sits on two baseplates and contains a multitude of scale details inside three atriums. There’s the main greenhouse that has a staircase, an observation platform, and two large exotic trees. There’s also the smaller garden, populated by cacti, as well as a cozy little café for visitors to stop off in – with the entire building sitting beneath a stunning “glass” roof that utilizes some new arch brick sizes.

There are also a few more new elements to this set, with 35 unique brick-built plants, including the all-new tulip that expands the LEGO flora pieces. Of course, aside from the plant life, there has to be someone populating the set and the LEGO group is giving us 12 minifigures here, more than any previous Ideas set. There’s four staff members, a bunch of visitors, and even some animals to pepper in too. The notable inclusion of the bunch, though, goes to the first minifigure to represent someone with a visual impairment that doesn’t just wear glasses.

While it was not designed to be compatible with other modular sets, there isn’t any reason you can place it between two existing builds along your LEGO street to add some greenery.

76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion (3,093 pieces)

The second of these sets is the 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion, also coming in at $329.99 shipped, which brings a detailed model of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters onto the scene, complete with 10 minifigures of iconic favorites. It stands at 10.6 inches tall and 16 inches wide, with two levels that can split apart into three varying sections, all designed with modularity in mind beside other Marvel builds. Of the minifigures, we’re getting four debuts: Gambit, Iceman, Bishop, and Jean Grey – plus, there’s a large Sentinel figure thrown in for added contrast too.
