Journey launches new steel Apple Find My Key Organizer
The Journey MOTION Apple Find My Key Organizer certainly isn’t the first of its kind – we have featured the KeySmart iPro Smart Key Tracker many a time, but it is one of the nicest-looking options I have seen to date with Apple item tracking in tow.
I really like the vibe of this tracker from the imagery here. It might not be the sleekest option out there, but the sort of combination of aluminum alloy, stainless steel, and FKM rubber are coming together in a package I might actually want to carry around here. The whole weighs in at 44 grams and includes a sort of light multi-tool component with an integrated bottle-opener that doubles as a package cutter – nice.
There’s a tool-free installation process here as well. You simply unbox the unit, undo the thumbscrew with your hands, and then use the included washers to pop up to six keys in the unit before quickly reassembling it all.
Now let’s talk Find My. Complete built-in to the unit, you simply use the included magnetic charging cable to juice up the mini internal 80mAh lithium polymer battery and then just add it to the devices section on the Find My app – I’ve done this a few times with Journey gear and it always works flawlessly. I really wish it had wireless charging, MagSafe or otherwise, but it is what it is here. The brand says the unit takes about an hour to charge up completely – it lasts for 4 months at a time on full charge.
