If 16GB is the new 8GB, then 24GB is the new 16GB, and the upgraded 13-inch M3 MacBook Air with the ever higher RAM count is now seeing a deep deal. Apple recently upgraded all of its Macs to start with 16GB of RAM and we now have the 24GB 13-inch M3 MacBook Air seeing a deep price drop courtesy of Amazon down at $1,299 shipped in all four colorways.
Alongside with the official RAM upgrade from Apple, we effectively saw a price decrease, or rather more RAM without the price going up. That means the 24GB/512GB configuration we are featuring here today fetched an MSRP at $1,699 not six weeks ago, before landing at the new $1,499 regular price tag it fetches now.
So while this is officially a $200 price drop we have here above, it is actually $400 under the price you would have paid at the beginning of October from Apple. It is now at the same price the 16GB used to fetch.
One might argue that 16GB of RAM is more then enough for more folks – you can score that configuration down at the $899 all-time low right now as well – and it likely is, but if history is any indication it won’t be long before the 16GB configurations give way to the 24GB setups and the configuration featured atop this post will be there to carry you through.
Here’s how pricing shakes out across the lineup right now:
- 13-inch M3 MacBook Air 16GB/256GB $899 (Orig. $1,299, Reg. $1,099)
