JBL has unveiled a new pair of headphones at CES 2025 called the Tour One M3, and this set has a bunch of noteworthy features that make it stand out from many other alternatives on the market. These headphones can be bought with an optional wireless transmitter to wirelessly connect to older devices, and they’ll hit the scene later this year in April for $399.95 shipped. Head below for more details.

JBL debuts new Tour One M3 with wireless transmitter

One of the highlights of the new JBL Tour One M3 headphones is that you can use them with a wireless transmitter to connect to sources like a plane’s in-flight entertainment system or a gym equipment. If this feature sounds familiar then that’s because it’s borrowed from the brand’s Tour Pro 3 wireless earbuds that can do the same with a functionality built into its charging case. In the case of this new pair of headphones, however, you’ll need an additional accessory called ‘Smart Tx’ audio transmitter that connects to devices with a USB-C or a 3.5mm audio cable. It essentially does what Bluetooth transmitters from the likes of UGREEN can do.

According to JBL, the audio transmitter uses a “direct proprietary wireless connection” for reduced latency and improved stability, though we haven’t had a chance to test these claims just yet. This transmitter also sports a touchscreen panel that can be used to adjust headphone settings like EQ, ANC, and music playback, among other things.

The new JBL Tour One M3 comes with 40mm Mica Dome drivers that are “precisely tuned to deliver deep bass, balanced mids, and crystal-clear highs.” This set also benefits from the brand’s  True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 technology that can reduce or even boost the ambient noise depending on whether you’d like to block them out or want to be more aware of your surroundings.

As far as the pricing and availability details are concerned, the new JBL Tour One M3 headphones will be available starting on April 13th, 2025. You’ll be able to snag one in either black, mocha, or blue colors for $399.95 shipped when it goes on sale. This price includes the wireless transmitter, though you’ll also be able to grab a pair without one for presumably a lesser price.
