We spotted a notable chance to score the new 16GB 13-inch configuration with a serious price drop earlier this week, and now we just about every model in the lineup with hundreds in savings. Amazon is once again offering all four colors of the most affordable 15-inch M3 MacBook Air models with some similarly deep discounts. You’ll find the 16GB model with 256GB of storage marked down to $1,099 shipped and the 512GB variant at $1,299 shipped to deliver the lowest prices we can find and the best deals since they were slightly lower during Black Friday. Both the 256GB and the 512GB variant are also matched at Best Buy right now.
The 256GB carries a regular price at $1,299 these days, while the 512GB goes for $1,499 – both are now $200 off the new going rate. Having said that, you know the drill by now – these two machines just got a RAM upgrade for essentially FREE, which means they are now actually $400 under the price you would have paid for these configurations before Apple upped its RAM game back in October of 2024.
Needless to say, these are fantastic prices for an M3 MacBook Air that’s Apple intelligence-ready no matter when the looming M4 models surface. We did see deals at $1,044 and $1,234, respectively, over the Black Friday deals season, but it’s hard to go wrong with a current-generation MacBook Air at $200 off the going rate and $400 under the price you would have paid at Apple not more than 4 months ago.

The M3 machines remain the latest in the lineup, and a wonderful Apple laptop solution despite the M4 machines likely being on the horizon. If you’re the type who must have the latest and greatest, even though you’ll have to pay full price at launch, we get it. But we also just detailed the value-add on the recent upgrade to 16GB RAM configurations by comparison to the 2025 M4 chip upgrade – the short form takeaway is this:
M4 MacBook Air is coming in 2025, but you don’t have to wait for an upgraded model. That’s because of a recent upgrade to the existing MacBook line that is arguably more significant than a generational chip swap.
