Electronicsforward’ take

The 4K Night Vision Binoculars from WASACO are a childhood dream come true, and I was excited at the opportunity to test this nocturnal visual aid. This award-winning piece of equipment can bring high-definition clarity to your night scenery.

The unboxing was simple and easy to navigate. The kit comes with detailed instructions, warranty info, and a helpful diagram to understand what buttons do what (pictured above). The binoculars also come in a durable carrying case complete plus a strap to attach to the binoculars themselves for travel or hiking.

For visualizing what you are watching, there is a 4” HD screen display plus an infrared scope on the front, complete with a UV filter cover to capture hi-def color images during daylight. The kit included a USB-C charging cable and cloth to keep the lenses clean, as well as a 64 GB micro SD card to capture footage. You cans see the full haul above.

A night vision enabled cameo by my dog Stella

Since you’ll be taking this binoculars out at night, WASACO implemented a flashlight feature on the front that can also strobe.

To begin, I installed the memory card and fully charged the 4K night vision binoculars. While doing so, I familiarized myself with the buttons using the handy diagram as I prepared for nightfall.

As you’ll see in my video review below, my first experience with the binoculars was admittedly shaky, even with an anti-shake mode enabled in the settings. I recommend attaching the binoculars to a tripod like I did, especially when recording video, to ensure a smoother shot.

A star-light sensor enables several different vision modes, including three levels of white balance in night vision. As mentioned in the specs above, these night vision binoculars can capture 4K video, 58-megapixel photos, and record audio, all on the provided memory card, which was easy to transfer the footage off of.

They can also observe long distances up to 1,968 feet or 600 yards , perfect for finding my dog Stella in our giant back yard during the dark of night.

There’s a focus ring on the front lens to ensure your target is clear, but I found it often needed to be adjusted, especially when switching between light modes. I enjoyed using the 5x zoom feature to more easily find and capture Stella on camera in my large backyard, although the image gets significantly shakier the further in you move. So, I highly recommend a tripod.

At one point, I aimed the night vision binoculars up at the sky and got a clearer view of the stars than my eyes could spot, but the moon was too bright to capture and ended up as a cloudy bright light.

Overall, the 4K night vision goggles from WASOCA are a cool piece of tech that offers much clearer vision at night. I found the display to be too shaky handheld, so these may be tougher to use while out in the wild, but on a tripod, it was fantastic to explore my backyard and dog running around when I otherwise would not be able to see them (this has been a pain for me at night when I’m trying to get Stella inside and can’t even find her).
