The new Nomad ChargeKey debuted in mid February 2025 as the brand’s latest upgraded portable keychain charging and data cable. It launched at $25 and hasn’t budged since, much as we expected this soon after release with a brand like Nomad.

While that certainly isn’t a massive price drop, we are talking about a brand new release from one of the preeminent Apple gear accessory makers, not to mention a piece of kit that sold out almost immediately after it surfaced online.
It boasts some capable specs – 240W of power passthrough and, this time around, the ability to deliver data transfer up to 10Gbps (USB 3.1). But for me, after getting a chance to go hands-on ahead of release, the real highlight here is the premium build – this thing, as far cable accessories go, is seriously gorgeous. The higher-end build is immediately obvious the second you unsheathe it from its packaging, with electroplated zinc cable housings and the magnetic cable tips.
