Today’s Xbox Game Showcase 2024 was loaded with exciting new world premieres and updates on fan-favorite franchises – DOOM: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, a new METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER trailer, the Perfect Dark gameplay reveal, and the Gears of War: E-Day – as well as the official reveal of three new Xbox Series X|S consoles. We spotted leaked rumors and imagery previously on a potential all-white, all-digital Xbox Series X, and we now know it is indeed a real thing. It will also be joined by a new Series S configuration as well as the 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition Series X. Head below for more details.
Xbox officially unveils new 2TB Galaxy Black Series X and all-digital Robot White model
All three of the new Xbox Series X|S consoles are scheduled to be coming this holiday season. We will be keeping an eye out for pre-order opportunities, as per usual.
The new machines breakdown as follows:
- Xbox Series S – 1TB in Robot White
- Xbox Series X – 1TB Digital Edition in Robot White
- Xbox Series X – 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition
Clearly this is just some new options on hardware that, for the most part, is already out there. But choices are choices, and there will soon be more of them. Whether or not these options are worth paying full price this holiday, as opposed to grabbing the existing Xbox Series X at $100 off right now, that’s hard to say.
This holiday, three new Xbox Series X|S console options will join our current lineup, featuring the same speed and performance with more design, storage, and price options to fit your needs.
The Xbox Series S – 1TB in Robot White will run you $349.99 when it launches.
This year, we’re introducing those same features in Robot White. This console features the classic sleek, modern and compact design of the Xbox Series S, but with a 1TB SSD, twice the storage so players can store even more of their favorite games.
The Xbox Series X – 1TB Digital Edition in Robot White with a 1TB SSD will land at $449.99 shipped and Xbox Series X – 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition will debut at $599.99 later this year.
Drawing inspiration from constellations and the spirit of exploration and adventure that outer space evokes, the special edition console in Galaxy Black features a silver, grey, and green celestial effect representing thousands of games and millions of gamers playing on Xbox.
Xbox says pre-orders are “coming soon” and for gamers to “check back in the coming months to learn more.”
