PlayStation 5 Pro pre-orders are set to go live starting today. This is the day folks. The day many of us have been waiting for. The day many of us have waiting on for what feels like years now. PlayStation 5 Pro pre-orders will go live today directly from the PlayStation Direct website alongside the 30th Anniversary PS5 gear, including both consoles, the PlayStation Portal handheld, the DualSense Edge, and the special edition DualSense. Stock will almost certainly sell out, and quick, so you’ll want to be ready to go this morning the second the race begins and we are here to help the cause.
PlayStation 5 pre-orders go live today
First up, let’s talk about the standard PlayStation 5 Pro. It carries a whopping $699.99 price tag and is set to take your frame rates sky high when it finally launches on November 7. However, preorders will kick off today directly on the PlayStation Direct storefront and they are likely going to go fast. You will have another shot at this one as they are scheduled to hit traditional retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Amazon come October 10, but again, there’s no telling how much stock will be available then either – we might have another PS5 situation on our hands here.

Problem is, we aren’t sure what time it will all happen at exactly. Reports have suggested the October 10 pre-orders will start at 10 a.m., which could suggest the same will ring true today for PlayStation Direct pre-sale, but who knows.
Your best bet is to be ready at various times. The PlayStation UK twitter feed says pre-orders for PS5 Pro will start at “10am,” but in what timezone PlayStation UK!?!!
That’s 2:00 a.m. PT/5:00 a.m. ET in the US. Your best bet, if you ask me, is just refresh the PlayStation Direct store every second starting at 12:01 a.m. in whatever timezone you live. But more realistically speaking, it would be smart to be ready at all of the potential times, both 5:00 a.m. ET and 10:00 a.m. ET seem likely at this point…but it’s hard to say for sure – keep a close eye on the PlayStation Direct store and our X (Twitter) feed for updates.
You’ll want to make sure you are already logged in to your PSN account and your credit card details are in there and ready to go.
PlayStation 5 and DualSense 30th anniversary preorders too
Basically everything we said above also applies to what will surely be the even harder-to-get and more limited 30th Anniversary gear.

All five pieces of kit are scheduled to go up for preorder starting today as well, and only through the PlayStation Direct storefront. We, again, don’t know what time exactly, but you’ll want to be ready all morning, day, and night…if you don’t have this kind of time and aren’t overly bothered with whether or not you land what you’re after, the times we detailed above might be a safe bet.
