Crucial’s regularly $170 2TB rugged aluminum portable SSD is down to the lowest price of the year at $128

Over at Amazon, you’ll find Crucial’s 2TB X9 Pro rugged portable SSD down at $127.99 shipped. That’s straight up a $42 discount on a drive that regularly fetches $170. We saw this unit drop below $100 last year before the industry-wide price hike hit SSDs, but this is the lowest price we have tracked for this particular unit in 2024. The 1TB variant is also back to its lowest price of the year at $84.99 shipped. Head below for more details.

The Crucial X9 Pro may not be the newest drive on the market, but it’s still a pretty good option to consider if you want a reliable external SSD to get more storage for your devices. This is a durable model that comes with an anodized aluminum shell and a rubberized soft-touch base, and it carries an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance. Notably, this has also been tested to safely withstand up to 2-meter drops.
