Flexispot C7 Max desk chair review: Ergonomics, multiple comfort settings, and a footrest to boot [Deal]

$250 off $450

We recently had the opportunity to test out the Flexispot C7 Max ergonomic desk chair. As a writer, the chair I choose to sit in during my days in front of a laptop is important—not just for comfort but also for overall health and well-being. The C7 Max is as sleek and professional-looking as it is comfortable, and the footrest is a pleasant surprise I didn’t know that I needed.

Flexispot is a furniture provider that utilizes technology to reinvent how we operate during our work lives by providing customers with kinetic products that are as seamless, sturdy, and eco-conscious as they are pretty and comfortable.

In addition to desk chairs, Flexispot designs and sells several other intuitive products, including standing desks, walking pads, recliners, beds, and even saunas. Thanks to the quality of its products, which are assembled using 100% recyclable materials, Flexispot has delivered its products to 10 million customers worldwide.

I’m currently revamping my workspace at home and was in the market for a new desk chair, and Flexispot came up in my searches as one of the top recommendations. The company was nice enough to send me the C7 Max chair to test and see if its products were worth the hype. Here are my thoughts.

1 / 7

The Flexispot C7 Max desk chair is perfect for remote workers

To begin, I lugged the C7 Max box inside and took out all the pieces for assembly. Everything was clearly distinguishable at first glance and matched the provided instructions perfectly. When I began assembly, I had everything I needed right there in the box, including bolts and an Allen Wrench.

Assembly took less than ten minutes, thanks to the clear instructions and clearly marked direction to the front of the chair, which avoided confusion about which direction to attach a certain component.

That said, I had a little trouble finding a suitable spot to place the seat when attaching the arms and back due to its awkward half-assembled shape. I propped the seat on my couch and got everything snug enough to bolt in before tightening everything.

Still, I pushed forward, and before I knew it, my Flexispot desk chair was assembled and ready for me to pop a squat in.

3 / 7

The first feeling I had when sitting in the Flexispot C7 Max desk chair was one of comfort and stability. Even when I was initially assembling the chair, I could tell everything was locked tightly and securely without wobbling or squeakiness.

The dual-layer soft elastic mesh provides a modern office look while providing welcoming comfort while you’re leaning against it. The dynamic adaptive lumbar support (seen above) helped keep me upright when working to avoid back pain later in the day.

The ergonomic backrest is complimented by a foam seat cushion covered in a layer of latex below the mesh. One of the more exciting features of this Flexispot desk chair is its 5D armrests, which are adjustable in every direction. They can be moved up and down, in and out, and spun around 180 degrees into several variations to suit your sitting style.

The comfort customizations extend to the top of the chair as well. The Flexispot C7 Max features a 3D headrest that can easily be adjusted up and down and angled to your liking, whether seated upright or lounging back.

Speaking of lounging back, the C7 Max’s backrest can recline 135 degrees and is activated via an easy-to-find lever below the seat. While reclining, you can also take advantage of this Flexispot desk chair’s coolest feature, a retractable footrest.

You probably wouldn’t even notice it at first glance, but Flexispot equipped the C7 Max with a clever, sturdy footrest that slides and folds out from beneath the seat. Especially with the recline mode active, the footrest gives you the option to literally kick back and put your feet up while you’re daydreaming, texting, or brainstorming during your work day.

Initially, I was a little skeptical of the footrest’s comfort level but became pleasantly surprised at the option to rest my legs and elevate my feet. The chair is quite comfortable and supportive of an average working position, but the option to go full lounge mode is a welcome bonus I intend to take full advantage of.

Overall, I believe the C7 Max desk chair from Flexispot is a solid option for an office, especially if you work from home like me. The quality and craftsmanship are apparent throughout, and its designers added every intuitive button and lever to the chair to ensure it’s a fit for sitters of all shapes, sizes, and comfort preferences.

The C7 Max is currently on sale for $450 with a $250 discount. You can purchase one for yourself here.
