Today only, as part of its Deals of the Day and joining its second wave of Black Friday doorbusters, Best Buy is offering a 5-pack of TP-Link Tapo A19 Multi-Color Matter Smart Bulbs (TL135E) for $34.99 shipped. This set carries a $60 MSRP and has now dropped $25 or roughly 40% to deliver the lowest price we can find on the 5-pack. Considering the 2-pack on Amazon can be had for $16.99 – this is basically the going rate as of late – you can more realistically put the regular price on these bulbs somewhere around $8.50 a pop. While they do sometimes fetch more than that, today’s Best Buy deal has them down at $7 apiece, which is a solid price on a Matter smart bulb from a reputable brand by just about anyone’s standards.
TP-Link’s Tapo smart bulbs have been a reliable and affordable price for some time, but this model was upgraded and re-released late last year with Matter support in tow. As opposed to locking you into one smart home platform or another, these bulbs will play nice with all of the Matter gear in your setup and respond to all of the major virtual assistants that you might have access to already – Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant, and so on.
They deliver your choice of millions of different colors, or variable temperature white lighting, all of which are controllable via the app or your voice, alongside scheduling and timer options and the app-side dimming feature.
