Now that Thanksgiving has officially ended and bellies are full, it’s time to dive into one of the most anticipated events of the fall season: Amazon’s official 2024 Black Friday sale! As I’m sure our Electronicsforward readers are already aware, almost all the major retailers and brands across the market expanded this year’s event from just one day into a full week-long affair. The Black Friday savings train is well into motion and bringing along the best prices of the year on many of the items you have your heart set on buying – EVs and their accessories, AirPods, tumblers, Kindle readers, MacBooks, power stations, appliances, and more – all at some of their lowest prices of the year. The deals won’t stop there as we expect even more will be dropping come Cyber Monday.

The official Amazon Black Friday sale is now live!

Amazon’s Black Friday event officially kicked off last week on November 21 with “millions of deals across more than 35 categories,” according to Amazon. While we’ve definitely seen plenty of great deals hitting the marketplace in the time since the fact remains that some brands and select gear have been held off until today.

We’ve already seen many of the biggest smart home brands and tech companies launch their full Black Friday sales alongside major retailers that are carrying it all for your shopping pleasure. Official Xbox and Google deals, for example, have long been live, as well as price cuts from Microsoft, OnePlus, Anker, and many more, to name a few.

When is the 2024 Amazon Cyber Monday sale?

Well, of course, as has been the case for many years, it’s on the Monday following Thanksgiving. This year the final day of savings is landing on December 2, 2024, the Monday immediately after the November 29 Black Friday event. It will officially kick things off a little ahead of schedule this year though, on December 1, 2024 at 3 a.m.

Historically speaking, Amazon will have a fresh batch of deals that will be going live on Cyber Monday – so don’t just expect a continuation of the deals that are dropping for Black Friday. In fact, a lot of the time, Black Friday discounts will end at midnight PT and then ramp back up again for Cyber Monday with a fresh batch of savings. Not all products carry through, but some do, and some will for 2024.

In some cases, Amazon will get even more aggressive and start knocking prices on select items down lower for Cyber Monday, with most gear either holding at its lowered rates through the weekend or returning to its Black Friday pricing once more when Cyber Monday sales start. While it’s not necessarily always the case, you never know until the day arrives how many on-page coupons Amazon might be throwing out on what has expanded into a 5-day event (November 28 through December 2). We’ll be here keeping track on the best of these deals across every product category.
