PlayStation 5 Midnight Collection gear preorders kick off today. Last week Sony unveiled its all new Midnight Collection PlayStation 5 accessories to the world and the pre-sale starts today. The PlayStation pre-order events for the new pro model consoles, and perhaps even more so the PlayStation 30th anniversary gear, were some of the hottest releases in all of gaming last year, but today Sony is ready to start taking orders on its all-new stealthy black peripherals.
PlayStation Midnight Black preorders go live today
As you’ll know from our announcement coverage, the new Midnight Black Collection is very much what it sounds like – all-new, all-black paint jobs landing on a range of the official Sony PlayStation 5 peripherals.
PlayStation says each of the new Midnight Black accessories feature a “unique, rich shade of black, with sleek detailing on various buttons and accents such as the PlayStation logo.”
Designed to match some of the all-black accessories already available in the ecosystem, Sony is trading out the black and white Storm Trooper vibes on a selection of its externals for a stealthy black treatment and everything goes up for pre-order today.
Sony previously stated that pre-orders would kick off this morning at “10 a.m. local time” both directly from PlayStation itself and major retailers.
