PSA: Verizon Wireless subscribers can watch live local and primetime NFL games w/o it counting towards your data

With the NFL season underway this past weekend, Verizon has announced that it will allow subscribers to stream live local and primetime games without using any data. This is just the latest move from service carriers hoping to pry away customers with unlimited data caps, free streaming and more.

It’s rather easy, all you need to do is download the NFL Mobile App from Verizon for iOS or Android and login using your account. From there, you’ll be able to enjoy local games on CBS or Fox plus nationwide broadcasts on ESPN and NBC without it counting towards your monthly data allotment. Additionally, you’ll have access to NFL Network throughout the season. Learn more at Verizon’s official promotion page.

Available to Verizon Wireless postpay customers over LTE. Other app activity, including downloading and browsing, counts against your Verizon Wireless data plan. Add’l data and/or bill credits will be provided to cover data usage for ads included in NFL video content. Subject to change. Don’t miss a moment of the action by streaming live local and primetime games on CBS, NBC, ESPN, FOX and NFL Network. Make sure you never miss a game and check the latest standings. Catch all the game-day action with NFL.com video on demand. Stream the latest from your favorite teams, players and coaches
