Best Buy will give you up to $450 worth of store credit for your old MacBook

up to $450

Best Buy is currently offering up to a $450 gift card with trade-in of a working MacBook. For comparison, its previous offer topped out at $250. There are a few details in regards to the definition of “working” which you can find below. You can use the on-page calculator tool to estimate your trade-in. Best Buy gift cards can be used on just about anything in-store or online.

So let’s put this into perspective. Apple products are notorious for holding value for much longer than most electronics, so today’s offer from Best Buy may not be the way to go depending on a few factors. Selling your MacBook on eBay or through a service like Gazelle might bring bigger returns. However, if you’re looking to upgrade to a new Mac at Best Buy, opting for this in-store credit is certainly worth considering if you don’t want to go through the trouble of selling via a third-party.

Best Buy is currently offering up to $400 off MacBooks. You can see the entire selection here.

Not all products are eligible for trade-in. Not available in all locations and some stores may have additional limitations. Trade-in value may vary. Condition, documentation and accessories may affect value. MacBooks that are cracked or water-damaged or that lack power are not considered working computers for purposes of this offer. Payment is by Best Buy gift card. You are responsible for removing any data from your product before providing the product for evaluation. You will be required to agree to the Terms & Conditions. Best Buy reserves the right to refuse any trade-in or limit quantities for any reason.
