Quick Review: Lenovo’s 10000mAh Bizer power bank has style for a premium

Power banks are a dime a dozen these days, so when one pops up with a unique design or features, we’re quick to take a look. Lenovo isn’t known for its on-the-go power solutions but its new Bizer 10000mAh power bank caught our eye. It’s pricier than some options on the market from brands like Aukey or Kmashi, but you’re getting an upgraded design that certainly looks nicer than the competition. Hit the jump for a few quick thoughts.

Lenovo is charging $35 for its Bizer power bank, although you can find it for less at some retailers online. The standout feature here really is the outer shell. With a textured horizontal lines and a splash red, it’s miles ahead of the competition that I mentioned above. The question is whether anyone is willing to pay a premium for that.

Its casing is also notably thinner than most power banks that I’ve seen. In comparison to my iPhone 7 Plus, its just a hair thicker but not nearly as tall. Bizer is arguably unnoticeable in your pocket, as it feels like your carrying around another device.

Like most power banks out there today, Bizer is charged by microUSB and sports dual USB ports. Its total output of 3A is a bit on the meager side but you will get 2.4A when charging one device at a time. Lenovo also includes a 18-month warranty to defend against any issues or defects.

The Lenovo Power Bank is a high-performance and quality product, with two fast-charging outputs for devices such as mobile phones, tablets etc. It has a large capacity of 10,000 mAh The Power Bank has dual-output USB interfaces and supports charging of two devices simultaneously as well as has a protective electronics design that prevents overcharging, over-discharging or short circuits.

It is disappointing to see that a $35 power bank doesn’t include a metal shell. That’s certainly a knock against Bizer. Comparable options from Anker at that price offer greater capacity and a tougher design. You won’t get quite the modern look, but I have a feeling that most of our readers are going for function over design in this product category.

The Lenovo Bizer is available today direct from the manufacturer for $35, although you’ll find it for a bit less on Amazon from some third-party sellers. If you’re looking for a lower-priced solution, we recommend checking out Anker’s PowerCore 10400mAh power bank that is currently selling for around $21.
