We’ve made it to the final stretch before all of Black Friday 2017’s deals land next week. And if our coverage of ads from Amazon, Best Buy and other major retailers didn’t get you super excited about the most important shopping day of the year, then our roundups of more noteworthy discounts will hopefully do the trick. So far we’ve dug through all the deals and offered the Best of Black Friday 2017 on products from Amazon, Apple, Google as well as various smart home devices, streaming media players and of course, HDTVs. Now we’re turning our attention towards home audio, so be sure to head below and check out our top picks.
While most of your home theater oriented Black Friday shopping will likely be placed on finding the perfect 4K HDTV to outfit your viewing area, a good sound system is a must-have as well. Throughout the year, soundbars have rose in popularity thanks to their ever-improving sound quality and all-in-one design. That trend continues into Black Friday 2017 where practically every retailer’s home audio sales are dominated by the devices.
Check out the best home audio deals for Black Friday:
SONOS, LG and more |
Complementing its selection of discounted media streamers, Best Buy will also be offering a few different options to outfit your home with high-quality sound. Most prominently we’re seeing up to $100 off select SONOS speakers highlighted by the PLAYBAR wireless speaker which drops to under $600 for the first time. We’ve tracked a price drop or two on SONOS’ soundbar throughout the past year but the upcoming discount will best these by $50.
Best Buy will have a few of SONOS’ wireless speakers discounted by $50 as well. The PLAY:1 speaker will be dropping to $150, but we’ve seen it go for $10 less so there’s a chance it could drop even lower for Cyber Monday. SONOS’ PLAY:3 speaker will be going for $250, which is the lowest we’ll have seen it sell for. So if you’re looking to expand your system, the PLAY:3 is your best bet deal-wise.
If you’re looking for a more traditional soundbar, Best Buy has you covered on this front as well. With sound bars from LG, Sony and Samsung leading the home audio discounts, you’ll be able to pick one up for over 50% off. LG’s highly rated 2.1-Ch. Bluetooth soundbar will be going for $120 (Reg. $280), which is the lowest we’ve seen. Sony’s option at $149 (Reg. $280) on the other hand isn’t as great of a deal as we’ve seen it go for $10 less earlier this year.
Finally Samsung’s 2.1-Ch. soundbar will be getting a nice 50% price cut down to $140. This is one of the first notable sales we’ve tracked all-together for the speaker, making this a solid buy if you’re loyal to Samsung. But regardless of which brand you fancy, opting for either one of these soundbars will be a great companion to your new HDTV.
Samsung |
For shoppers looking to avoid the crowds all-together this Black Friday, Samsung’s discounts are available entirely online. The company makes one of the most robust lines of soundbars on the market and is offering just as noteworthy discounts on a variety of its models. On the more budget-friendly side, Samsung’s 320W 2.1-Ch. soundbar drops by $120 to the lowest price we’ve seen at $160.
Our top pick from the sale however is Samsung’s $300 Sound+ Premium Soundbar. At $200 off the regular price that’s the lowest the soundbar has gone for and thanks to its above-entry level audio performance and solid 40% discount, is hard to pass up. But if you’re looking for the most rocking soundbar you can get your hands on from Samsung, its HW-K850 Soundbar has dropped to an all-time low as well at $800. You’ll only be netting a $200 savings, so if you’re looking for the best deal we’d recommend another option.
RCA & Vizio |
Walmart has some really solid deals all around this year. So if you’re already heading to the retailer for the rest of your Black Friday 2017 shopping and a soundbar is on your list, Walmart’s offerings are worth considering. In what will likely be the most inexpensive soundbar throughout the shopping event, the RCA 37-inch soundbar is going for just $29 (Reg. $50).
The Vizio 32-inch 5.1-Ch. soundbar system is getting an even more notable price drop at Walmart as well. Regularly going for $230, the soundbar’s Black Friday pricing drops it to $139. We’ve seen some price drops through the year on this model, but Walmart’s sale here comes in at $60 under the lowest we’ve seen it go for in the past. Ultimately if shopping elsewhere is possible, you’ll be able to get your hands on a wider range of soundbars at better discounted prices.
What else to expect |
So far Amazon has only given us a sliver of what it plans to offer come next week. So odds are high the online retailer matches some of the other notable deals we’ve seen or just unveils its own lot of discounted home theater equipment.
As the holiday season progresses we’ll continue showcasing the best deals on our Twitter and Facebook. Be sure to checkout and bookmark our Black Friday 2017 guide to catch up on all the upcoming discounts.
