Rad Power Bikes has been around since 2007 and has delivered “tens of thousands” of eBikes to their customers. With prices starting at $1,499, that figure doesn’t surprise me, as many manufacturers charge upwards of $2,000 or more for eBikes. Rad Power Bikes’ 2018 lineup brings new frame designs, color schemes, new (more powerful) battery packs, and accessories. All of the bikes are available for pre-order now and start shipping in January 2018. Head below the fold for more information on each bike that Rad is launching this coming year.
The RadCity Step-Thru Electric Commuter Bike is brand-new to the 2018 lineup and is just $1,499. It features an easy 20-inch stand-over height making is super accessible to mount and dismount. The motor has 750-watts of power and features a 48-volt battery, making this eBike perfect for just about any commute. The front and rear mount racks give you the capability of easily transporting groceries, backpacks, and more. The range on this eBike is rated for 25-45+ miles depending on the usage.
All models feature 20-mph top speeds with a full LCD display that includes a speedometer, wattmeter, and odometer. The 2018 lineup of eBikes also include integrated headlights for safety when riding at night.
Rad Power Bikes’ RadRover is very similar to the RadCity Step-Thru, but much more rugged. Costing the same $1,499, the RadRover is designed for a little more rugged commute. With its front fork suspension, new color scheme, and larger wheels, the RadRover is perfect for riding over any city terrain you can throw at it.
The RadCity is also $1,499 and is designed for smaller riders. This eBike comes in 16- or 19-inch sizes so that way no matter how big or small you are, there’s an eBike for you. The built-in fenders help keep your clothes clean in case you run into water or mud, and the built-in racks mean you can easily transport your briefcase on the way to work.
If you need something even more compact, the RadMini is the “first and only” electric folding bike with front suspension, rear cargo rack, and Rad’s powerful 750-watt motor. At $1,499, this eBike features 20-inch tires so it can be easily folded and stored when not in use.
And if you really want it all, there is the RadWagon for $1,599. With a higher total payload capacity of 350-pounds (up from the rest of Rad’s bikes at 275-pounds), the RadWagon can carry anything you throw at it. It’s similar in size to the rest of the lineup but can carry so much more. With the included rear running boards, there are plenty of mount points to secure anything you need to transport.
All of Rad Power Bikes’ 2018 lineup are available for pre-order from its website with shipping dates expected in January 2018. There are tons of new accessories available to the 2018 lineup of eBikes from Rad, so for a full list of those head on over to the Rad website. Free shipping is included on all eBike orders to the lower 48 states, as well.
