Nike this morning announced the unveiling of its new Air Jordan III Golf. Taking the iconic pair of Jordans from 1988 and re-releasing them in a links-friendly version. All of the original design elements are here, including the beloved cement print that would go on to become a Jordan brand staple for years.
Along with the white, gray and red colorway, Nike is also releasing a ‘premium’ version in black and gold. The only departure (aside from integrated spikes) is that one heel now features a Nike Golf logo, while the other retains the Jumpman. Both are slated to be available on Nike.com and at select retailers starting February 16th.
Continuing the 30th anniversary celebration of the Air Jordan III, Nike has re-engineered the shoe for the golf course. Keeping original elements of the shoe first introduced in 1988, including the tumbled white leather, gray elephant print and the Jumpman logo on the heel, the shoe adds a full-length Lunarlon midsole for comfort and stability on the links.
