It often feels like many of the eBikes hitting the market these days are geared solely for commuters wishing to get from point A to B. For those looking to have some fun and get off the beaten path, finding a rugged yet well-designed electric ride isn’t as easy. Sporting a retro mini-bike design, Coast’s new Buzzraw E1000 is ready to take on the great outdoors with a 1,000-watt mid drive motor and more.
At the center of Coast’s latest eBike is a 1,000-watt mid drive motor paired with an eight-speed drivetrain system for tackling just about any terrain. The E1000 boasts the expected pedal-assist mode alongside full throttle control. Tire-wise, Coast allows you to choose between two different oversized tires based on your preferences.
Utility is rooted deeply in Buzzraw E1000 eBike’s design, with a variety of features and add-ons that take the electric vehicle’s form from just aesthetically rugged to functional. Coast’s latest comes packed with a comfy, two-person seat as well as a unique battery mount that allows you to swap out its own for other compatible power packs. Additional accessories like footpegs, a cargo net, fenders and front rack pair nicely with the eBike.
Customization on the other hand is less of a priority for Coast. With the Buzzraw E1000 only coming in a single color, Stealth Black, there’s much to be desired for riders looking to make their bikes stand out from the pack.
Unfortunately for those wishing to know what kind of range you’ll be able expect from the E1000, Coast hasn’t supplied that or battery size information just yet. That, along with no details on its pedal-assisted top speed makes the company’s latest eBike a hard sell at its over $3,200 price tag, at least for now. Having just been announced, Coast will likely supplement this info in the near future to further inform potential riders.
But if you’re sold on the design and can take a gamble on the drive-time specs, the Buzzraw E1000 is currently available for purchase at $3,281. With its rugged and sporty design, Coast’s latest looks like a compelling option for those that can come to terms with its steep price tag.
