Amazon shutting down Prime game pre-orders next week, lock-in your 20% discount now

20% off

It was a sad day for gamers everywhere when Best Buy announced it was shutting down the coveted GCU program. That left Amazon’s Prime membership pre-order pricing as one of the best possible options for avid gamers. While Amazon already chopped its benefits down to just pre-orders, with no competition any more from GCU, that is also going the way of the Dodo. Best Buy still offers $10 credits on big ticket pre-orders and now Amazon will be following suit. That means you only have until August 28th to lock in your 20% off Prime pre-orders. More details below.

While Amazon doesn’t appear to have launched a landing page to showcase which games are up for pre-order with a $10 credit, it is likely on the way. As we mentioned above you have until the 28th of this month to lock-in your Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Fallout 76, pre-orders at 20% off.

As a quick side note, if there are any active GCU members still left out there, you’ll want to hit the lander to grab 20% off plus a $10 credit on just about all of the biggest upcoming titles.

You’ll find more details on the Prime gaming situation right here at Amazon.
