As expected, all of the best Apple accessory makers are coming out of the woodwork with their latest and greatest. Apple’s yearly keynote event took place yesterday, as you likely know, with the new iPhone Xs, Xs Max and XR launching along with the brand new Series 4 Watches. WaterField and Pad & Quill have already launched some of their early new accessories and today we are taking a look at the new Nomad iPhone cases.
We are big fans of the work Nomad does mostly because it manages to create gorgeous accessories without the heavy handed price tag some of the aforementioned brands come to market with. In fact, we have already chosen them to be part of our Best new iPhone Xs, Xs Max and XR cases available now and its Rugged Sport Apple Watch Band was a dead easy choice for our favorite bands that will work on Series 4. You can find all of those right here.
Nomad now has its leather Rugged Case, Rugged Folio, and Rugged Tri-Folio options available for all three of the new handsets. But only the Xs, likely due its similarity to last year’s X model, also has a few more options available including the Clear Folio, Wallet Case, Clear Case, Hex Case and Leather Folio.
Considering most of these options are all made with a similar design and materials, let’s focus in one that is available for all three devices for a closer look. The Nomad Rugged Case available for iPhone Xs, Xs Max and XR goes for $44.95 and comes in both brown and black. It is made of Horween leather which is sourced from one of the oldest tanneries in the country. It will develop a gorgeous patina over time (according to the image above which says “after 100 days”).
While it is certainly a thin little leather case, Nomad says it features 6-foot drop protection not to mention being completely compatible with wireless charging solutions. Normally I go with a simple Apple leather case or something from Nodus, but I might have to give the Rugged a go this time around.
You’ll find all of the new Nomad cases right here starting from $35. However, the iPhone Xs Max and XR options start at $45. And remember, we have all of the options available right now on the new handsets right here along with the best bands for your new Series 4 Watch right here. Oh and, be sure to check out the very first battery case for the new phones.
