Feast your eyes on the new Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay trailer [Video]

Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 is just around the corner and will be releasing in less than a month during a notable holiday release season. Gamers will have a lot to do over the holidays this year whether it’s the new multiplayer Fallout 76 or the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. And that’s only if you have had enough time to finish Spider-Man and the new Tomb Raider. But for now, it’s all about RDR2.

Rockstar has been steadily releasing new screenshots and information via the official Red Dead Redemption 2 page. But we have been patiently waiting for today’s new gameplay trailer since it was teased back in August. Rockstar took to its official Twitter page to announce the new video late last night and it is finally here.

We already know more about the game’s online mode and potentially massive install (over 100GBs it appears), but now we are getting a much closer look of the game in action. The new video, dubbed “Official Gameplay Video Part 2” mainly focuses on how the game will be able to throw players into a wide array of situations organically.

Official Gameplay Video 2:

We catch a good look at everything from big bank and train robberies to dynamic stand-offs with rival bandits and just about everything in between. Take on bounties, gun duels in the streets or choose to hold up a local store, it’s up to you.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will also feature the usual Rockstar approach to side activities. You can choose to dress, wash or shave Arthur Morgan which will have a direct effect on the way NPCs treat you in the game world. You can also expect loads of historic games, poker and much more. Arthur can even take members of his gang into town for drinks if you want.

But remember, you’re behavior appears as though it is being tracked in a more complex way than usual in Red Dead Redemption 2. Just about everything you choose to do or not will determine how many lawmen or bounty hunters are on your tail.

Rockstar also talks about the new Dead Eye system. Continuing over from the last game, Dead Eye allows you to slow down time and paint targets before unleashing a bullet storm. It looks as though most of that has returned along with a nice progression system. It will eventually allow Arthur to see critical points on an enemy in order to specifically take out limbs or deal a death-blow.

Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on October 26th for all major platforms, and it couldn’t come fast enough. Pre-orders are live now. And here’s that PlayStation bundle Sony launched for the game last week.
