So far one of the highlights of CES 2019 has been AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support landing on Samsung, Sony and Vizio TVs. Panasonic is looking to shake things up at the trade show in a different way, which is where the newly announced GZ2000 4K OLED TV steps in. Claimed to be the “World’s Most Cinematic TV”, it’s headlined by top-notch color accuracy, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, as well as a few features that will be making their debut on the home theater display. Head below for a closer look.

Panasonic’s latest edition to its lineup of TVs enters with a lot of hype to live up to. And while all of that is from Panasonic themselves, the release is touted as being one of many firsts. The GZ2000 OLED will be available in both 65-inch and 55-inch screen sizes.

One of the main selling points for the new TV is that the panel was color-tuned by Stefan Sonnenfeld; one of the individuals responsible for color-grading popular films like Star Wars: The Force AwakensA Star is BornWonder Woman and so many others. And if that weren’t enough, the GZ2000 also supports  test pattern calibration from industry standard color company Calman. So it’s safe to say that Panasonic is pretty serious about winning over professionals.

But there’s more than just unparalleled color accuracy that helps the GZ2000 OLED standout. It comes equipped with the company’s most power processor to date for a TV, allowing for notably quick HDR processing. Panasonic’s latest is also said to be the first to boast HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG Photo format support. To complement its visual enhancements, it is also the first to include upward-firing Dolby Atmos speakers.

So far details are light on when you’ll be able to bring home Panasonic’s newest model, or for that matter, how much it’ll cost. But at the end of the day, none of these features can come cheap. OLED TVs already fetch a premium themselves, and the fact that the GZ2000 is as high-end as it is means that the amount of cash you’ll have to spend will be set to match. With professional grade color accuracy, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a high price tag.
