We first reported last October about a new security camera made by Wyze that was ultra affordable, but still had plenty of smart features we would expect from security cameras these days. Now, the company has its newest version available for pre-order today for only $20. The new version is just as compact and still has a magnetic base, plus a few new features that make it a great choice for any home.

GOOLOO is best known for its wide array of power banks and chargers and we consistently see deals for its products landing in our smartphone accessories posts. This month, the company has launched an Indiegogo campaign to fuel its latest feature rich car jump starter and power bank. The GOOLOO G2000 is portable and lightweight, but also powerful enough to charge just about anything. When we say anything, we mean it! It can charge devices like smartphones to MacBooks to motorboats and about everything in between quickly and safely.

We first told you last summer about a crowdfunded kit from Sony called KOOV for kids. These new kits teach kids all about building and operating robots using colorful building blocks. Well, after a very successful campaign, Sony is now offering up a new kit for educators to use at schools. It’s still called KOOV, but the educator kits are specially designed for learning in a hands-on classroom environment.

Toys that teach kids hands-on about robotics, science, math, and more are commonly known as STEM toys. A company called Klutz specializes in making educational and STEM toys for kids. The majority of the toys they create also have an extensive how-to component that helps kids truly understand the concepts they’re learning about. dfy has just introduced a new wallet available only through its Kickstarter campaign. It has already met its fundraising goal with more than 20 days left in its campaign. The new wallet features an ultra-compact design, RFID blocking and an optional Bluetooth tracker.

There’s nothing more annoying than being at a backyard BBQ or any other outdoor get together and being attacked by mosquitos. This is just more one more step towards having robot assistants in our daily lives.

Who has time or even the memory to worry about combinations, passwords, or keys these days? There needs to be an easier way to retain security, but also have easier and quicker access for trusted users. Well now there’s a company that claims to have created the “first smart fingerprint padlock.”

The light we use everyday plays a big role in not only allowing us to see the world, but how it makes us feel. The company that created the first levitating light bulb is back again to crowdfund its latest invention. FLYTE’s new goal is to transform our everyday light bulbs into something a little more unique and beautiful. With less than a month left in its Kickstarter campaign, the company has already raised over $60,000, surpassing its goal of $25,000 on this new project.

Sure modern technology is great, in fact most of the time it’s pretty awesome, but what’s the use of it if we don’t even know how it all works? Maybe this kind of learning is already lost on the majority of us adults, but maybe there’s still hope for our kids. There’s a new STEM toy currently being funded on Kickstarter and it has already reached its funding goal with a month left in its campaign. It’s called PapierMachine and it teaches your kids about circuits by letting them build their own.

Espro is a company out of California that creates simple to use coffee and tea presses that are both innovative and grit-free. Currently on Kickstarter, they are seeking funding for their latest creation. It is the lightest insulated French press to date and you can take it with you wherever you go.

If you’re a photographer that’s always on the hunt for that next great shot, you may be interested in light painting as a new art form. It typically involves moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph. It sounds easy enough, but it really isn’t. There are a bunch of different tools and accessories and of course patience needed to truly master this technique.

A start-up company out of New York has created a new “painting” light stick that they hope will transform the art for beginners and experts alike. It’s currently getting funded on Indiegogo with much success. With over a month left to go in its campaign, it has already reached more than double its goal of $30,000.
