Despite Amazon’s dominance online, Best Buy remains a more than viable source of price drops on just about all of the major brands and then some.
As an official authorized Apple dealer, it offers up major price drops on both previous- and current-generation iPads, MacBooks, and more on a regular basis – often times landing on par with the best around. The big box store continues to be aggressive and competitive with Amazon by way of regular sale events, its wonderful Deals of the Day offerings that often serve up the best prices anywhere on a select group of products for 24 hours, and exclusive offers for its increasingly popular membership tiers. Best Buy memberships, which come in three tiers including the FREE My Best Buy and the paid My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total, look to take on Amazon’s Prime offerings with a similar approach. The FREE tier delivers free shipping with no minimum purchase while the paid offerings takes things up a notch with exclusive access to sale events, lower prices on select items (including new releases), and even 24/7 tech support, among other things.
Best Buy also looks to take on Amazon’s Prime Day sales with its own timed, exclusive Member Deals Days sale events that span just about every product category it offers. Often times resulting in the best prices of the year and rivaling that of Black Friday, these limited-timed events are another major perk for the paid membership tiers detailed above.
