If your home is anything like mine, Black Friday will bring a few new gadgets this year and that means additional stress on your network. Upgrading to a new wireless router can help relieve some of the stress caused by this increased traffic. We’ve found two deals over at Amazon that are worthwhile investments to go along with your new gear.
Amazon also has the NETGEAR AC1750 Dual-Core 802.11ac Wireless Router for $89 shipped. Rated 4.4/5 stars by over 3,100 Amazon customers.
If you aren’t too keen on the Touch Bar, there are larger discounts available for the entry-level MacBook Pro.
This Mac utilizes USB-C so you’re probably going to need some additional adapters and cables to make sure it works with your current external hard drive, monitor and other peripherals. Best Buy’s Black Friday event is in full swing with deep deals on Macs, home goods and more. The popular Anova Sous Vide Precision Cookers are the recipients of $50 disocunts for Black Friday courtesy of Best Buy (and Target at some point). This is the best around and the lowest we have tracked on the bluetooth model and matching the lowest on this Wi-Fi model. Amazon is still charging full price. Rated 4+ stars from over 1,300 Amazon customers.
As expected, the second generation Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player and Wi-Fi Audio Dongle are receiving Black Friday discounts down to $25. This is a rare sale on Google’s popular TV add-ons. These prices are available at a number of different retailers, including Google’s official eBay Store.
As part of its Black Friday Deals Week, Amazon is offering some all-time lows on its popular Fire tablets. Most notably, both the 7-inch 8GB model and the 8-inch 16GB tab are being marked down to $33.33 and $59.99 respectively. You can now save up to 65% on Nomad accessories for iPhone, Apple Watch and other gadgets. Free shipping is available on all US orders of at least $50. If you don’t meet that threshold, shipping costs around $4 for each item. We’ve reviewed several Nomad products in the past and have always been impressed with their quality. This sale even includes sizable discounts on some of Nomad’s most recent releases, including the Ultra Rugged Cables and gorgeous Leather iPhone 7/Plus Cases. Here are our top picks:
Pre-orders for the New Nintendo 3DS Super Mario Black/White Edition are now live on Amazon at the expected $99.99 shipped. Likely one of the hottest gifts/products of the season, this is a great way to beat the Black Friday rush and guarantee yourself one as this is scheduled to release tomorrow. There are no deals expected on this brand new Black Friday release this weekend and we are expecting stock to be limited at most retailers.
Following Walmart’s lead, Target has announced a two-day Cyber Store Spectacular to start off Cyber Week on Sunday. You’ll be able to save 15% sitewide in addition to a number of special offers. There are a handful of deals already being teased beforehand. Target sent out a few details about this promotion this morning, which can be found below. The sale will get underway Sunday at 12:01am and run through Cyber Monday. Hit the jump for more…
These are the types of deals Black Friday is all about. Rare savings on great products. Today Nest officially pushed its seasonal discounts live for several of its high-profile smart home products.
Another standout deal is the Nest Cam Indoor for $149 from Amazon. Again, that’s a fresh price drop of $50 and a terrific deal. Rated 4.1 out of 5 stars from more than 4,000 Amazon reviewers. It makes a great gift for friends or family members looking to keep a watchful eye on their home or pets.
Both of these deals plus a $50 savings on a Nest protect + LIFX Bulbs bundle are available on Nest.com.

Some retailers are offering the same price with some add-ons like $30 in Kohl’s cash, but those deals are not live yet, and there is no telling how much stock is available. Everything below ships free:
We are expecting these same deals to go live at Microsoft, Kohl’s, Walmart, Best Buy and more over the next day or so. The post will be updated once they come available.
Black Friday can be pretty overwhelming. There’s a mountain of deals available on everything from tablets to home appliances and even cars. You’ll hear the talking heads on your local news station and mainstream media talking about how Black Friday has lost its luster. Don’t listen to them. Sure, there are tons of sub-par deals being advertised, but don’t let that distract you from the really good stuff. I’m talking about sizable discounts on products that are notorious for never budging from retail. The types of products that are a good buy even at full price and become unbeatable when on sale:
While our attention has largely been on Black Friday this week, it will be Cyber Monday before we know it. Walmart has announced its plans for the entire week following Thanksgiving with deals on home goods, electronics and much more. Interestingly enough, Walmart is kicking off Cyber Week deals this Friday at 12:01am. A new round will be available on Monday at the same time.
Despite its competitors, Best Buy and Target, offering free shipping through the holidays, Walmart is still requiring a $50 minimum to bag no-cost delivery. Free in-store pickup is available on all purchases. Head below for our top picks from the retail giant.
If you’re planning on doing any holiday shopping at retailers other than Amazon, Best Buy or Target this week, you’ll want to take full advantage of this membership offer. Free two-day shipping and returns are available at online stores like Staples, Newegg, Ralph Lauren, Under Armour, Eddie Bauer and many more.
There’s never been as many avenues to cord-cutting at a discount as there will be this week. Down below you’ll find the best deals of the year to get access to all of the best services including Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu and more.
We have now launched our Best of Black Friday series highlighting the top deals in every category this week: Apple gear, TVs, Games/Console Bundles and more to come. Now we will be taking a look at some of the most notable home goods and the best places to pick them up.
This year’s deals are highlighted by nice price drops on Nest’s smart thermostat and camera, along with Ecobee3 deals (already live!) and a series of small home appliances and more. We are currently already seeing some of Kohl’s and Walmart’s home goods Black Friday deals start to go live, but here are some of the best options for later this week:
It’s finally Black Friday week. Many retailers have already begun discounting this year’s most popular items with plenty of other deals coming in the next few days. Now, we’re turning our attention to Apple products.
Third-party retailers are stepping up big with a variety of promotions across the board. Best Buy, Target, Walmart and others are all planning on running notable Black Friday promotions this year. After combing through each ad, we’ve prepared a list of the best deals below on each of Apple’s top products:
Roku’s newest Streaming Stick has a quad-core processor that is “8x more powerful” than the previous generation. It also features dual-band wireless, HDMI connectivity and ships with a remote. The free smartphone app brings private listening via your own headphones that’s perfect for bedrooms. You’ll have access to all of the popular streaming services and “350,000+ movies and TV episodes.” Rated 4.3/5 stars by over 2,800 Amazon customers.
We have already seen the best gaming deals for Black Friday courtesy of Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Toys R Us, GameStop and more. Down below you’ll find a handy list pointing out the best prices of the year and where to get them.
This year’s hottest console bundles will be the PS4 Slim and the Xbox One S, as expected. There are several solid deals on both available from all of the major retailers. You’ll find the best options listed below, but be sure to hit up Amazon (and follow us on Twitter) from Thursday right through the weekend to make sure it hasn’t dropped some of its own bundle options. It will basically be a matter of add-ons when it comes to which option is best for you. If the specific add-on titles/controllers interest you then go for those bundles, but if there are particular games you would rather own, the gift card options are likely best. Outside of that, all console bundles will be at least $50 off at just about all retailers including Amazon, so you really can’t go wrong if the doorbusters go out of stock on you.
We are seeing loads of all-time lows on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One games (along with some Wii U and 3DS deals). We have listed some of the most popular titles of the season along with where to get the absolute lowest price next week. Keep in mind, stock will be limited on most cases for these deals and many other retailers will have the same games listed for just slightly more. You should also be sure to double check Amazon’s listing on the titles you are most interested in as we are expecting the retailer to be price matching on many of them. Head below for all our top picks:
Monoprice is offering 15% offsitewide when you use code EARLYBF as part of its Pre-Black Friday Sale. Some exclusions apply, but Monoprice hasn’t made it clear which items they are. We expect game consoles and other higher priced items are, but it doesn’t hurt to try out the code! Shipping starts at $0.99 but some items qualify for free shipping. The offer ends November 20.
Here are some sure fire items to use the code on (Prices after code applied):
Black Friday is basically synonymous with TV deals. It’s one of the best opportunities throughout the year to pick up a new 1080p or 4K set for your home. If you’ve been following along, we’ve already combed through the best Black Friday ads from Target, Best Buy, Walmart and others, so now we’re bringing all of the best TV deals to one easy guide.
In typical Black Friday fashion, there are plenty of doorbusters in the $100-$300 range that even include 4K displays this year. The problem is that inventory is generally limited and goes out of stock quickly. Whether you’re after a new centerpiece for your home theater or simply a replacing an old bedroom TV, we’ve got you covered. Head below for the best Black Friday deals from Samsung, VIZIO, LG and more…
Black Friday pricing for the 2nd generation Ecobee3 Smart Thermostat with Sensor is now live. Get it for just $199.99 shipped from Amazon, Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot and ecobee. You’re saving just about $50 off its regular $249 price tag. Note: Home Depot and Ecobee are charging $0.99 less, but that’s not significant enough (IMHO) to make it worth giving up Prime benefits.
Not only will it make your home more comfortable, it’ll also deliver meaningful energy savings. It has racked up a 4.5 out of 5 star rating from thousands of Amazon reviewers. What’s more, we were thoroughly impressed with it during our in-depth review:
Overall, I’ve really enjoyed using the ecobee3 since December and can easily recommend it as a quality HomeKit accessory. Siri control for turning on the heat from my desk is super convenient, especially using the Apple Watch, and using the iPhone app to change the temperature has almost entirely replaced walking over to the thermostat.
Black Friday is just around the corner and things are starting to get really interesting. Hopefully you were able to score one of Amazon’s Alexa-enabled devices (Echo, Echo Dot, Fire TV, etc) on discount over the past few months because it’s going to be your key to even bigger Black Friday discounts. Amazon announced an exclusive set of deals for Prime members who shop using their voice over the next few days. Even better, through Cyber Monday you’ll receive a free $5 Amazon gift card when you buy an Alexa deal worth at least $10. For a look at this weekend’s Alexa-exclusive voice deals, click here.
If you don’t have an Alexa device, you could place an order today and still get it in time to take advantage of this offer.
Next up in the line of Black Friday 2016 deal ads is T-Mobile. The Un-carrier has now released an early look at some of the accessories and gadgets that will be on sale for the big weekend (list below). The main deals will kick-off on November 24th and run through the 27th.
While all of the major players have now shown their hands for Black Friday 2016, there was still one we were waiting on. eBay Daily Deals always has a strong showing come the end of November and it looks like the first few deals may have now leaked. We are still waiting for the complete list of eBay Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2016 deals, but it we expect some solid options on UHDTVs, drones, PS4 and even Apple gear if these early leaks are correct. However, most of the early TV prices are on par with deals already available at Best Buy and Amazon right now. Here are some of the best of what we have seen thus far:
We’re continuing to work through the latest Black Friday news as we head towards the big day next week. The latest batch of ad leaks comes way of Macy’s with a focus on home goods. Doors will open on Thursday at 5PM with night owls able to shop until 2AM. Locations will then close for four hours until 6AM when things will open again until 1PM. That’s a unique schedule in comparison to other retailers we’ve covered leading up to Black Friday.
Barnes & Noble just introduced the new Nook Tablet 7, a seven-inch Android tablet with access to Nook books, audiobooks the Nook store, and even the Google Play store and all of Google’s apps including Maps, Gmail, Device Manager, YouTube etc. The device, priced at $49.99, also features 2MP front- and rear-facing camera, Bluetooth connectivity, MicroSD Card access and more.
This competes well with Amazon’s $50 Fire 7 which is usually priced the same with ads and is a fantastic gift idea for kids or grandparents who want to dip their toes into the world of tablet computing but don’t want to be limited by Amazon’s Appstore. Fans of B&N’s physical neighborhood stores will know they are helping to keep the stores going with this purchase.
We’re still over a week away from Black Friday 2016, but we’re already starting to get a glimpse at some Cyber Monday promotions coming down the pipeline. Just as you’d expect, the deals cover everything from electronics to toys and fashion to home essentials. Even though Amazon’s Black Friday event will span 35 days, the best deals are being reserved for Thanksgiving day through Cyber Monday in its recently-opened storefront. You’re going to want to check back each day to get first dibs on the best deals as soon as they go live.
Amazon also added a neat feature to its shopping app for iPhone called Package X-Ray. It allows you to quickly sort through your Black Friday haul without risk of ruining any holiday surprises..

It appears GameStop locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but online deals will start on the 24th and run through the 27th. Its smartphone app will also be the home to a handful of exclusive deals, which are noted below.
Walmart is planning on offering a number of doorbusters and will bring back its previous strategy of handing out wristbands that guarantee shoppers the opportunity to purchase. Head below for our top picks and an in-depth look at the ad.
