Media: Bob Marley’s Legend album for $0.99, new Maroon 5 song free, Fandango movie ticket $7, more

It’s really, really hard to find anyone who dislikes this album. In fact, I bet that many of you had Bob Marley’s Legend album on CD or even (gasp!) cassette. I’m also willing to bet that tape is now lost and the CD is scratched to holy hell.

Fire up Google Play and you can get a digital copy of it for just $0.99. Top to bottom, this album is killer. But my favorite tracks include No Woman No Cry, Buffalo Soldier, and Redemption song.

Maroon 5 may or may not be your cup of tea, but since you’re reading this site I’m going to assume you’re a cheapskate and appreciate free tunes. Click over to this Kia promo page and simply hit the download button to grab a free copy of “Animals” from Maroon 5’s new album, “V.” Get the rest of the album on iTunes, Amazon, or Google Play.

Amazon Local has one movie ticket from Fandango for $7 (up to $14 value). The credit can be used at over 22,000 Fandango cinemas. The promotional value expires on 11/30, but the paid value never expires.

We recently spotted a new app called Notifyr on the App Store, and today the developers have kicked off a sale offering the notification app for free. Every second day for the next 7 days Notifyr will be available for free of charge, down from the usual $3.99.

Notifyr is a two pronged notification service, providing the above iOS app and a free Mac companion app. Using a standard Bluetooth connection, your iOS notifications will appear on your Mac as if they were any other Mac Notification Center alert. These aren’t just Apple notifications either, “you can read your incoming WhatsApp messages, see who’s following you on Instagram or read any of the other kind of notifications from any app on your iPhone. It’s also possible to mute notifications from any app you like.”

We recently put the two apps to work in our hands on test of the system and found that everything from phone calls and Facebook Messages to iMessages and SMS messages worked seamlessly. For more details on the apps and limitations on devices head over to our full rundown.

OTTTD goes free on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch (Reg. $5)

After a bit of a wait, IGN has now announced OTTTD as July’s Free Game of the Month. Available on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, free promotional codes are available now. Regularly priced at $4.99, the game has dropped to $2.99 on the App Store previously, but this marks this first time we have seen the iOS version go free.

OTTTD (or Over The Top Tower Defense) is not your average tower defense game. It blends elements of real time strategy games, tower defense and giant, flying, undead sharks. While described as “anything-goes TD game that doesn’t take itself seriously,” there is an intense and tactical blend of RD and RTS gameplay at its core.

With additional game modes on the way, there are already 20 story missions, a unique and meaningful tempa-death system and boss battles, as well as a character class and leveling system. You can check out some screenshots and the gameplay trailer below.
