A decision has been made to reopen GameStop locations. After the company controversially decided it was essential retail back in March, it finally made the right decision and shut down its physical stores. It appears GameStop locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but online deals will start on the 24th and run through the 27th. Brick and mortar locations will open on Friday the 25th at 5:00am, according to early leaks. The first 100 customers in each store on Friday will be receiving a Yo-Kai Watch Series 1 Blind Bag (with any purchase) and access to GameStop’s $1.99 T-shirt sale.

Starting today, HTC’s Vive VR headset is available to purchase direct from HTC at vive.com in at least 24 countries with the device expected to ship to customers in the next 2-3 days. And it’s also being made available to preorder at select retail partners including Microsoft Stores, GameStop and Micro Center with those orders expected to arrive beginning sometime this week.
HTC originally launched preorders in February and started shipping in April, but until this week orders have been backed up and the company has been experiencing shipping delays and complaints from preorder customers.

Now that Black Friday is less than two weeks away, we are getting a look at what major national game retailer GameStop will have to offer. The leaked ad shows discounts on everything from consoles to games, with over 4,000 stores open at midnight on November 28th.
For the most part, it looks as though GameStop will be matching Best Buy, Walmart and others with the major PS4 bundles at $400 and the Xbox One bundles starting at $330. But keep in mind, Sony announced the The Last of Us/GTA V bundle for $400 as an official price drop and should soon be available on Amazon. You’ll also find $20 to $30 off games on all platforms as well as discounts on accessories and older systems.
Just in time for the Black Friday deal season, Microsoft announced a $50 price drop coming to all major retailers for Xbox One consoles and bundles last week. While most stores ended up offering the deal early on some bundles, we are now seeing the discounts live across a number of retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Microsoft Store, Walmart, Target and more.
