Coming off a jam-packed start to 2018, today LEGO has unveiled yet another new kit that is sure to excite. Last year the Ideas team had announced that Tron would be joining the lineup of licensed sets and now we’re finally getting our first look at what the latest LEGO themes entail. Stacking up to 230 pieces, the Tron Legacy set includes 2 brick-built Light Cycles and 3 all-new minifigures.

With the latest installment from the Marvel Cinematic Universe slated to hit theaters at the end April, we’ve seen a nearly endless supply of new merchandise unveiled. At Toy Fair, LEGO got in on the action and showcased 6 new sets to coincide with Avengers: Infinity War. But they aren’t stopping there. Today LEGO has announced 4 new Avengers BrickHeadz.

Car aficionados have turned their attention towards the Chicago Auto Show, looking to get a glimpse at the latest and greatest luxury rides and turbocharged engines. But in an unexpected twist, LEGO too has taken to the expo to reveal what will likely be the smallest debut. As the latest vehicle to get a brick-build rendition, today LEGO and Ford have teamed to announce the new 1968 Mustang Fastback.

Over the weekend, the LEGO brick we all know and love celebrated its 60th birthday. And in typical LEGO fashion, the company isn’t going to let the date go unnoticed. So to celebrate this monumental occasion, LEGO has announced that it will be expanding its lineup of Classic kits with 6 brand new sets in honor of the past 60 years of models.

On January 28th (this coming Sunday) LEGO will be turning 60 years old. One of the things LEGO has done to prepare for the occasion is build a 1,200-pound, 10-foot-tall version of what is commonly known to LEGO builders across the globe as a 2×4 red brick. Master Builders have it assembled and it’s sitting today at the intersection of 5th Avenue, Broadway, and 23rd Street in Manhattan. It will be on display there until Sunday and you can watch the time-lapse (below) as the Master Builders worked to construct the 10-ft. tall structure.

With the year on its way out and 2018 just over the horizon, some of the most anticipated offerings from LEGO won’t be massive kits or from a widely-popular series, but a more recent addition. Instead our attention is aimed at the latest from the BrickHeadz series, which LEGO has announced it will be expanding with 6 new figures spanning next year’s major holidays. 

In the later half of 2017, LEGO has been firing on all cylinders to showcase some of the most impressive and must-have sets. But if new Star Wars, Architecture and City kits just weren’t doing it for you, then LEGO’s latest release may just get you revved up. As an expansion to its Technic line of sets, the new 2-in-1 Mack truck stacks up to one of the most impressive kits we’ve seen.

November has been one of the biggest months this year for LEGO, with major releases from themes for all brick-building fans. We’ve seen a new lineup of Star Wars sets for the upcoming film, the massive Taj Mahal and a 1950’s Downtown Diner. The LEGO Ideas program played a helping hand this month as well, as it just recently announced the upcoming Tron Light Cycle. Now as a continuation of our previous coverage, we’ll be looking at November’s most noteworthy Ideas models.

This past year has been one for the books in terms of noteworthy LEGO releases, with many of the most-desired sets coming from the crowd-funded Ideas program. And with 2017 coming to a close, it looks like LEGO still has some interesting mentions. Following this year’s second round of LEGO Ideas review, we’re getting a look at the latest set to hit store shelves; the Tron Legacy Light Cycle.

In the lead up to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we’ve seen a quite a few sets trickle in to further excite fans. But with less than a month before the next continuation of the Star Wars saga, LEGO is showcasing a few more kits to build out the lineup.

In this release we’re getting 9 new kits, most of which are directly centered around the new film and include Porgs, microfighters, First Order troops and more. As we get closer to the holidays, these sets will be must-have additions to any LEGO or Star Wars fan’s collection and will make perfect gifts.
