After seeing over 45 different LEGO creations hit store shelves at the start of the month for the summer wave, we’re now getting official looks at this year’s holiday sets. Every year the LEGO Group debuts some new festive kits to countdown to the holidays, and 2022 is no different. Today we’re checking out all of the details from the new Star Wars and Marvel LEGO Advent Calendars which will both be hitting shelves on September 1.

August 1 has finally arrived and the LEGO Group is excitingly launching the largest Star Wars collection of the year. As the company does every year, the 2022 summer lineup is now available with seven different kits from a galaxy far, far away. Spanning sets themed around the latest Disney+ shows to buildable droids right out of video games and more, here’s everything you need to know on the new LEGO Star Wars 2022 sets in this summer lineup for August.

After being officially revealed at LEGO CON 2022, fans have been eagerly awaiting being able to get their hands on the upcoming Star Wars AT-TE. Unfortunately they’ll have to wait even longer, as today the LEGO Group has issued a statement noting that the latest Clone Wars creation won’t be arriving alongside the rest of the summer 2022 wave dropping in August.

Today, the LEGO Group is giving Marvel fans a first look at three new creations out of the Black Panther sequel. Delivering smaller builds to pair with an assortment of five all-new minifigures, the upcoming LEGO Wakanda Forever kits will be hitting stores later this fall in October starting at $10.

While Nintendo fans got to enjoy a first look at the upcoming Mighty Bowser set earlier in the month, the LEGO Group is continuing the gaming action over to the past. Delivering a retro gaming icon in brick-built form, the upcoming Atari 2600 set has finally been revealed with over 2,500 pieces and loads of LEGO nostalgia.

Earlier this year we reported that the LEGO Group would be planning to raise the prices of sets, and today we’re getting a first look at exactly what this will look like. Up until now, there has been a lot of debate as to how the “up to 25% increase” would stack up, and now thanks to Barnes & Noble, the expected pricing of several existing sets has been all but confirmed. Last year, the LEGO Group kicked off a miniature series of iconic Disney landmarks with a scaled down Disney Castle. Now we’re seeing yet another attraction from the Happiest Place on Earth get the LEGO treartment, with the Haunted Mansion joining in on the mini action. Launching later this fall on August 1, the 680-piece set will include an exclusive minifigure to complement the miniature build.

Today, the LEGO Group has issued a statement regarding the trademark usage of its signature minifigure. For years fans in the LEGO community have used the likeness of minifigs to represent themselves, or even to market events in lieu of business cards and the like with third-party printed designs. Now the LEGO Group is looking to put that to an end as it shores up the trademark of its minifigures.
