Summer is winding down and soon the leaves will begin to change, but even sooner than that we will get new content on Netflix! Starting September 1st, you can enjoy the third season of Narcos, Gotham, and the sci-fi series The Expanse is back for season two. There will be a bunch of movies arriving like Spectre and the new Star Trek: Discovery will premiere as well.

Celebrate 10 years of DC animated films with this 30-film collection on iTunes for $99.99. That drops each movie to just $3.33 a piece and you’d expect to pay $10 for each title individually.This collection of movies was just released digitally on August 15 and is set to be released on Blu-ray on November 7th. Valued at over $300, this set includes the following titles:

MoviePass is offering its monthly subscription for just $9.95 per month. You can find the app on Android or iOS. That’s down from $15 per month previously and the lowest we’ve seen for this service. With MoviePass you get to see one movie per day each month in participating theaters. So you can potentially see up to 31 movies in a month at the cost of standard admission to just one film.

iTunes is now offering HD downloads of the X-Men Three Film Collection for just $9.99. That’s what you would expect to pay for only one of these films let alone the entire trilogy. The movies in the bundle are X-Men, X2: X-Men United, and X-Men: The last Stand.  

For its PlayStation Plus members only, the PlayStation Store is offering rentals of ‘Logan’ in HD for just $0.99. That’s $5 less than iTunes and Amazon for the same rental and the lowest we can find for it. Also, this week both iTunes and Amazon offer the Brad Pitt film, ‘Allied’ for jut $0.99 to rent in HD. Typically, you would expect to pay $5 or $6 for this rental and the movie received 7/10 stars from viewers.

Following suit from the now expired VUDU sale from yesterday, Amazon Instant Video has nearly all the same films on sale for $0.10 today. Typically you would expect to pay around $3 or more to rent these flicks elsewhere. When renting from Amazon, you have 30 days to start watching the movie and 48 hours to finish once you’ve started it.

iTunes is offering the The Twilight Saga: Ultimate Collection for just $9.99 to own in HD. As a pricing comparison Amazon charges $30 for the same collection on Blu-ray. This bundle includes all five Twilight movies.

Also, this week’s $1 HD Rental is Jack Reacher: Never Go Back available at Amazon or iTunes.

July is going to be another scorcher month, especially with hot movies like Rogue One coming to Netflix (July 18th). Classic Sci-Fi fans will also appreciate the return of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (July 1st) and then 2016’s favorite Lion (July 9th). There will also be new series arriving just in time to save us from endless summer reruns. The list includes  Friends From College, an ensemble comedy with a solid cast led by Cobie Smulders, Fred Savage and Keegan-Michael Key (July 14), and Ozark, with Jason Bateman as a man taking his family on the lam when his deals with a drug cartel turn sour (July 21).

Netflix’s original movies in July include The Incredible Jessica James, a romantic comedy starring Daily Show standout Jessica Williams (July 28), and To the Bone, a drama with Lily Collins as a woman battling anorexia with help from an unorthodox doctor played by Keanu Reeves (July 14).

As always, if you’re not getting Netflix you can try it out free for 30-days and then pay as little as $10 a month for a basic subscription. You’ll also want to check out some popular media streamers to beam Netflix to your TV.
