Microsoft is just minutes away from hosting its first Developer Direct showcase of the year. Officially announced last week via Xbox Wire, the first 2024 Developer Direct broadcast of the year is set to feature an “inside look at some of the highly anticipated games coming to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass, presented by the game creators themselves.” Follow along with us down below.

The latest special gamepad from Microsoft has now been unveiled in the form of the new Stormcloud Vapor Xbox controller. The special gamepad follows the first-of-its-kind wireless pizza-scented Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles models we featured recently with a much more standard setup you’ll actually be able to purchase. Presenting a smokey blue-gray treatment, the new Stormcloud Vapor Special Edition Controller is now available for pre-order, and you can get a closer look down below. 

Just after introducing official price hikes to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Microsoft has now unveiled Xbox Game Pass Core. The new subscription tier now sits alongside Xbox Game Pass for PC, Console, and the Ultimate option to, in many ways, complete the move over the Game Pass branding. Xbox Game Pass Core is set replace Xbox Live Gold to provide a more affordable way for gamers to access online multiplayer action, member-exclusive deals, and provides trimmed down, entry-level access to the on-demand game library. Microsoft has now unveiled a new Barbie Xbox console alongside additional goodies as part of its collaboration with the upcoming film. The new Barbie movie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, is set to hit theaters next month, but first let’s take a look at the new custom Barbie Xbox console, in-game content, and controller faceplates. Joining today’s all-time lows on the official Xbox Series X/S storage Expansion Cards from $150, Microsoft has unveiled a new Xbox wireless controller. Taking to the Xbox Wire today, we are getting our first look at the new Sunkissed Vibes Special Edition gamepad. The exclusive new controller now sits alongside a few recent releases to Microsoft’s stable of in-house gamepads including the customizable Redfall controllers that landed on Xbox Design Lab, the Earth Day model, and before that, the all-green variant that released ahead of St. Patrick’s Day. While none of those, including the new Sunkissed are arguably as cute as the limited edition Grogu gamepad, you can get a closer at the now available new Xbox wireless controller below.

Microsoft is expanding its gamepad selection today with the new environmentally-friendly Remix Xbox Wireless Controller. After launching the all-green model just ahead of St. Patrick’s Day last month, Xbox is looking ahead to Earth Day with the new Remix Special Edition that is “partly” made from reclaimed CDs, water jugs, and other recycled controller parts. Delivering a sort of multi-tone earthy color scheme that fits right in with the theme here, the new Remix model is now up for pre-order and you can get a closer look down below.

Microsoft is serving up some FREE Xbox demos for a host of unreleased games starting today. The 2023 Game Developers Conference, or GDC, kicked off in San Francisco today with the show’s usual awards and breadth of exhibitors. But Microsoft has a special treat for folks whether you can make it to the show proper or not in the way of some FREE Xbox demos to enjoy for the week. After Nintendo announced this year’s Black Friday console bundle, a new Xbox Series S package has been announced. Taking to the official Xbox Wire this morning, Microsoft has now unveiled the new Xbox Series S – Gilded Hunter Bundle. This is essentially an expanded version of the Fortnite and Rocket League set that has been floating around for a while now that comes in at the same price despite the extra goodies. The new Xbox Series S bundle is set to release later this month for the holidays, and you can get more details down below.
