Today at CES in Las Vegas, Audio-Technica is premiering a slew of new products including its QuietPoint over-ear wireless active noise-cancelling headphones. They will be Audio-Technica’s first wireless over-ear headphones to feature the exclusive “Pure Digital Drive audio technology.” Plus, the company will also be showing off its new top of the line turntable, and much more.

Update: Tabs is now available for purchase directly from their site and has bypassed its Kickstarter campaign. The first batch of orders are said to be arriving in the coming weeks, so early adopters will have the new system in their hands much sooner than expected.

With CES having officially begun this weekend, we’re already seeing a wide range of notable new products. Turning our attention specifically to the smart home, the folks over at Elgato have kicked things off this week by unveiling 2 new HomeKit-enabled devices. Eve’s Button introduces a new way to control connected accessories and the second generation Room upgrades its predecessor with enhanced sensors and an improved E-ink display.

Last year at CES, Vobot introduced the world’s first smart clock that with Alexa built-in. Now, the company plans to unveil the Vabot Halo at this years show. It’s an upgraded version of the original Alexa based alarm clock, but now has a host of other features including sunrise simulation and more.

Nearly a year after it entered bankruptcy, Mad Catz has returned after all of its assets were purchased by a third-party in China. Operating under the new name Mad Catz Global Limited, the brand is unveiling a fresh line of gaming accessories today. The guys that are officially behind this resurgence have worked at the China-based manufacturing plant for years. Their familiarity with the brand will hopefully serve it well in the years to come.

In case Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant weren’t enough, Roku is now throwing itself into the highly-competitive voice assistant space at CES 2018. Although we’ve seen some rumors in recent months that it may be unveiling its own wireless speaker, the popular streaming media player manufacturer has today announced that it will be licensing out its software to third-parties.

Roku has been doing this with its software for years in partnership with TV brands such as TCL and Sharp. This is, however, its first foray into the world of voice assistants. Along with today’s news is word that Roku will be introducing a new partnership with Magnavox to bring even more budget-focused displays to market in 2018.

Wires suck, we’ll start with that. Anytime I go on a trip, wires always get tangled, broken, or lost. External batteries are the same when it comes to this. I’m traveling to CES soon and will have several external batteries with me. Alongside those batteries? Well, I’ll have cables. Tons and tons of cables.
