The 2017 Game Awards kicked off in Los Angeles tonight with much anticipation. The 4th annual presentation has become known for unveiling brand new IPs and new trailers in between the awards themselves. Producer Geoff Keighley has once again brought together the industry’s best and a series of massive world premieres for the year’s biggest award show in gaming.

Update 12/8: Unico is no longer on Kickstarter after raising over $1,000,000 in backing and has since moved to Indiegogo. They have also pushed the delivery date back from February 2018 to June 2018. We have reached out to the Unico team for comment and will update you as we get information.

Today, Freefly – a company known for its video stabilization rigs – announced a new product designed specifically for iPhone. Its new $299 Freefly takes on DJI’s Osmo as a way for videographers to capture smooth footage on-the-go. Zendure, a company out of East Palo Alto California, has just unveiled its newest USB-C power bank for funding on Indiegogo. This new USB-C charger is supposedly the “lightest and smallest power bank with 20,000mAh capacity” to date. It also has a 45W USB-C input and output, 4 regular USB outputs, LED digital display, X-Charge feature for low-power devices, and finally a UPS continuous power option. With a month left in its fundraising campaign, Zendure has already hit its goal of $30,000 and if all goes as planned, shipping the X6 will start in April of 2018.

If you’re like me, there’s something you’ve been wanting to do for a long time: convert your standard home to a smart home. This could be expensive, buying lights for every fixture or trying to find compatible switches or plugs to turn your device on and off at will. Until now, it’s been quite cumbersome to convert over. Philips is teaming up with Roku for a new line of integrated HDTVs. Streaming box company Roku has been under a ton of pressure lately as competition heats from every angle.
