A new Kickstarter funded smart lock called BoxLock can offer 24/7 protection from parcel theft and is the “first internet-connected padlock specifically designed to safeguard your home deliveries.”

NextDesk has been a standing desk manufacturer for quite a while. Launched in 2012, they have been a company to provide customized standing desks to suit any need. Currently, NextDesk, which is rebranding to XDesk, offers over 12,000 possible desk combinations of materials, finishes, and accessories.

The company GarageSmart is back on Kickstarter (after its success with the original MyLifter 1.0  over 3 years ago) with its 2nd generation myLIFTER that amazingly stores bikes, kayaks, car roof racks and more on the ceiling of your garage.

With the holidays quickly approaching it looks like Drones will continue being one of the hottest gifts of the year. While typical RC cars may not be as desired as they once were, the folks at GJS are looking to breath some new life into ground-based remote controlled vehicles. Launching via Kickstarter, the Geio Battle Bot packs first person remote viewing and visual recognition into a rugged futuristic design.

But now there’s the Jolt eBike that has a 50-mile range and is less than $500 (if you buy it soon). It’s currently being funded on Indiegogo where it has already reached its goal of $50,000 with 23 days left in the campaign.

But, enough reminiscing, it’s time to talk about the Cary42. The company behind Cary42, Love Hulten, says the name came about because they wanted to say you could “carry for two.”

The San Francisco-based startup company 23 Devices is launching the “world’s first USB-C Hub with Qi wireless phone charging.” It’s appropriately called the Chocolate Hub 2 as you can see it looks like a bar of chocolate. The new hub is well suited for the iPhone 8/X and the latest MacBook Pros but will work with other USB-C laptops and most other Qi-enabled smartphones. The startup hopes to raise upwards of $20,000 on its campaign at Indiegogo where it just launched recently.

Martian smartwatches have been around for years. The company’s latest smartwatch, the mVoice G2, has several unique features though. The biggest stand-out feature for me is that it has analog hangs with a digital face. Yep, it has both the face of a regular watch and modern smartwatch. Martian is always innovating and trying to find good ways to merge the old with the new, and I think they’ve done it with the mVoice G2.

It seems like everyone is making self-maneuvering products these days. Tesla has AutoPilot, DJI has several autonomous flight modes, and most cars today can even parallel park themselves. Honda has now entered the game, but it’s not with the product you’d think.
