Black Friday Xbox Series S deals

While the flagship Series X console is now readily available for purchase at full price via Amazon, Monoprice is now giving folks a chance to score the all-digital Series S at $199.99 shipped. Certified refurbished from Microsoft, this is a notable chance to land a current-generation machine for the kids, a spare room, the lake house, or otherwise without paying anywhere near full price. The new units carry a regular price tag at $300 (currently $280 from trusted Amazon third-party sellers) while the Amazon renewed units are fetching $259. This refurbished listing includes a 90-day manufacturer’s limited warranty and has been “put through a rigorous certification process, tested to confirm it’s working properly, and inspected for hardware and cosmetic quality.” It also ships with the console itself, one Xbox Wireless Controller, and the power cable. This is precisely where the latest Monoprice Zero-G monitor lands while also wielding a 144Hz refresh rate, 1500R curvature, HDR support, and Adaptive Sync. Pricing for this unit is quite competitive, undercutting other displays with similar specifications by around $40 or so. Continue reading to learn more.

Monoprice Maker Ultimate 3D Printer Review: Set up and initial prints [Video]

Bringing an object from the digital world into the physical world is a pretty addicting experience. The only limit is your imagination when it comes to making pieces that are useful and fun. I’ve had a few items printed from online companies like Shapeways, but wanted to jump into the world of 3D printing on my own.

Monoprice is well-known for affordable electronics, and their 3D printer line definitely has some reasonable options. Their entry-level 3D printers start with the Monoprice MP Mini Delta 3D Printer at $159, but today we’re taking a look at the top of the line Maker Ultimate, priced at $479. Let’s get it setup and see how our first print goes. We’re going to go through the setup fairly quickly as it follows along with the manual pretty closely, but I’ll throw in some tips and troubleshooting I figured out along the way. It seems like a good product for the price, but there are some fit and finish things that are a bit off. Check out the video below.

Black Friday ad roundup: eBay Daily Deals will have PS4 for $330, iPhone 6 discounts, iTunes cards 25% off, more

This time next week we’ll all be recovering from our Black Friday hangover and prepping for Cyber Monday. But before that, we have a whole lot of deals (and turkey!) to splurge on.

eBay Daily Deals is one of our favorite places to score a hot deal and we finally have its Black Friday plans. As expected, it includes some pretty great deals.

PlayStation 4 will be just $329.99, which is the lowest price we have ever seen and better than any other pre-announced Black Friday deal. We’re not sure on exact models or pricing, but the ad states that iPad Air 2 will get a 20% discount. An unlocked iPhone 6 will be available for $639.99. That’s just a $10 discount but it’s still notable since it’s the first deal we’ve ever seen on Apple’s latest smartphone and you can potentially save on sales tax at the time of purchase. The $35.99 Xbox Live 12-month Gold Membership and 25% iTunes gift card discount are also extremely strong deals.

Head below for Black Friday ads from Newegg, Microsoft, Sprint, Monoprice and a first look at Walmart’s Cyber Monday plans:

The thinnest iPhone 6/Plus cases we’ve found so far and some that are just thick enough to prevent ‘camera wobble’

Size is easily the most talked about attribute of the all-new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Obviously, the pumped up screens are getting much of the spotlight but their shaved down profiles and perfectly rounded edges are also turning heads.

We spend hundreds of dollars on these sexy new devices just to cover them up with bulky cases. The only other option is to rock your iPhone naked as the day it left Foxconn but then it’s more susceptible to breakage. Wraps and skins protect our devices from abrasions but not drops and quite frankly, are a pain in the neck to install.

However, ultra-thin cases maintain the iPhone’s slender design, while keeping it safe from scratches and everyday drops. Although, it’s important to keep in mind that cases less than 0.70mm thick are so slim that they won’t protect the protruding iSight camera.

If you can’t deal with the stress of going without a case but also don’t want to cover up Jony’s newest creation, then these ultra-thin cases may be the best choice for you…

Monoprice iPhone 6 cases as low as $5.60 with free shipping

Monoprice is listing cases for the new iPhone 6 as low as $5.60 with free standard shipping. Choose from several different colors and styles.

These probably aren’t going to be the best case you’ve ever owned, but for less than $6 they should be perfect to hold you over until you can find your ideal case. As of right now, the cases are slated to ship by tomorrow, so you shouldn’t have any problem getting one before September 19th. Note: Monoprice doesn’t mention if any of these cases are compatible with the iPhone 6 Plus.

Another best bet is to pay a couple extra dollars and go with a name brand case (update: buy through the Spigen eBay store to save even more). Either of these options are (probably) a smarter buy than Apple’s newly announced $35 silicone and $45 leather cases.
